Yusco, the largest stainless steel mills in the Taiwan, has released the latest market prices for January, 2014 as the domestic prices of stainless steel 300 series hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil and 400 series increase by about US$50/ton, US$35/ton and US$20/ton. Also, the company surges its export prices of stainless steel by around US$50~US$70/ton.

Yusco indicates the LME nickel price has returned back to US$14,000/MT level and the raising demand from North American and European market has been highly expected.

On the other hand, China's stainless steel mills attempt to adjust their capacities and most of stainless steel mills expect that there is no reason for LME nickel price to drop further in short term; Accordingly, Yusco has decided to hike its prices after prices quiet for two months in a row.
